COST's roots began in 1957 when John Stanwyck’s contracting company, Anchor Corporation, was hired to develop naturalistic habitats at the Milwaukee County Zoo. The zoological industry was seeking changes to the standard cages common in zoos, and sought out a firm that was proficient in concrete applications and artistry. Since the very beginning, COST excelled in blending proven construction methodologies with an artistic flair. Our proficiency in creating simulated environments has allowed us to work in the majority of zoos and aquariums in the U.S. and numerous projects abroad.
The company, now led by Jon J. Stanwyck, has branched out into many other industries that require simulated environments and theme construction services. COST’s work can now be visited at museums, botanical gardens, theme parks, casinos, residential communities, golf courses, family entertainment centers, theme retail stores and restaurants in the U.S. and abroad.
COST’s headquarters is located in Jackson, WI. A massive 140,000 square foot plant that is equipped with the latest fabrication technology. The plant utilizes GFRC, FRP, urethanes, epoxies, acrylics, and shotcrete applications to develop specialty items. Branch offices include Orlando, FL; Seattle, WA and Dubai, UAE.
